Senior Spotlight: Lauren Porter How many years have you been at APEX: 12 years Favorite memory from your years at APEX:  My favorite memory is definitely my first meet back after my back injury.  I wasn’t always sure I’d be able to make it to the point where I could compete again.  The ability to be able to compete and have my friends, family, and coaches there to support me was an amazing feeling. Your Favorite Meet:  Pink Invitational Which skill was the toughest for you to learn?   The toughest skill for me to get was a  giant; it took me forever! What do you have planned for the future?  I plan on attending Texas A&M University next fall to study Meteorology and continue gymnastics with the Texas A&M Club Gymnastics Team. Do you have any words of advice for younger gymnasts? Always work hard. The effort you put into practice is directly related to your outcome.  Always support your teammates as you would want to be supported.   Congratulations to Level 9 Hannah O’Dea who has verbally committed to West Virginia Wesleyan for next season!         Check out this month’s Senior Spotlight – Emily Everhart           Senior Spotlight   Emily Everhart How many years have you been at APEX: 9 Favorite memory from your years at APEX: My favorite memory is when I made my kip on bars for the first time in level 5 at a meet, the Hershey’s Hugs and Kisses meet.
